Fashion Design students will learn how to draw, and sketch the figure as well as measure, make patterns, cut fabric, as well as hand-sewing and machine sewing.  Students will learn all about the fashion design industry and how to produce their own design from concept to creation.  Fashion Design Students are required to participate in the Student Art & Fashion Show in the Fall.

This summers Teen Fashion Design Camp will focus on designing

with an impact to embrace individuality in a totally new and unique way....

Teens will take a close look at the cast and characters of the latest box office hit "The Greatest Showman".

Each week of camp has a slightly different focus but as a whole we will re-write the stars while embracing

individuality "marching to the beat I drum" and " I make no excuses, this is me"........

TEEN FASHION DESIGN CAMP 2018

Fashion Design students will learn how to draw, and sketch the figure as well as measure, make patterns, cut fabric, as well as hand-sewing and machine sewing.  Students will learn all about the fashion design industry and how to produce their own design from concept to creation.  Students will have an opportunity to model their creations in a real fashion show for teens by teens.  Each week of Fashion Design Camp has a different theme,

ALL students are required to participate in the Fall Fashion Show.  The basic idea is that students will model their own creations in a real fashion show, however students can also create designs for someone else who will model their designs in the show.  Parents will be required to buy or sell 4 tickets to the show at $130 which includes (2) $40 front row seats (2) $25 general admission.

Supplies

There is usually a small supply list, we will send it out as soon as we have it.  Usually it is a couple yards of fabric, thread, and possibly a few notions......FYI Set aside Monday evening the week of camp to go purchase a few supplies.  

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Students will learn how to thread a needle
  • Students will draw and sketch the figure
  • Students will hand sew
  • Students will learn to sew on sewing machines
  • ​Students will create a head to toe look for themselves or someone else...
  •  Students will explore ideas and themes related to self expression and current events and how related social issues are portrayed by the media.
  • Students may have a little homework in the evenings the week of camp
  • Students will mostly finish everything by Friday however there will be some free sign-up time in September to wrap up any final details and alterations before the show
  • ​Fashion Show date is not set in stone yet but most likely will be in the afternoon, Sunday September 30th or Sunday October 7th.
  • LUNCH & TWO SNACKS - Students should bring their own lunch, water bottle, and two snacks.
  • Medications: If students need any medications during the day we will have you fill out a form on the first day of camp. Medications will be kept in the medicine cabinet for the week.
  • ​Registration Form - Once you pay your deposit, we will email you a registration form for you to tell us more about your teen.
