Financial Assistance

SBAP offers financial assistance with 50%-75% tuition reduction, as well as full scholarships.  Please click here to fill out the financial aid request form.


Drop Off & Pick Up Policy

When you drop your child off for class we ask that you sign your child in and out with a cell phone number you can be reached during class.  Parents are welcome to wait in the 1st floor gallery or drop off and come back.  We ask all parents not to enter the studio classroom while class is in session. 

Make Up Classes

Students are welcome to make up missed classes by attending an extra class.  Please notify studio in advance.



MISSION
SBAP has a mission to teach young people and adults how to enhance their own lives and community through art.  We do this by providing affordable and free art education programs and public art projects.  Our programs consist of:  Kids Art Studio, Adult Workshops, Art Parties, Art After School, School Partnerships, Community Outreach, and Public Art.

Students can attend the whole time or just for 1 or 2 hours

4th grade - 12th grade

  Teen & Tween Art Cafe is structured for young people to have opportunities to build their artistic experiences all year September thru May.  Our art curriculum is one that is based on meeting our students where they are at in Strong fine arts foundation is the backbone for all of our artistic techniques and creative strategies. Students will have many opportunities for drawing techniques and skills.

Teens and tweens who attend regularly will have additional freedom to take art work and medium of choice in independent directions.
  Young people will also have opportunities to collaborate on Public Art Projects that are being worked on in the studio.  This opportunity will also allow students to explore how to make connections their own art and art that is installed in public places.



Funky Rooster, Chicken, or Peacock

Thursday April 19th
Students will have a great time during this class drawing and painting roosters, chickens, and peacocks!  Students will have a finished work of art by the end of class!



Itijame Shibori Fabric Printing

Thursday April 26th
Students will have experience this class painting and printing with the ITIJAME SHIBORI fabric printing method.  Students will have the choice to make a scarf, wall hanging, or belt.

  Thursday May 3rd
It's the week of the Kentucky Derby, and no better time to draw and paint horses in motion.  During this class students will learn technical drawing skills paired with the fun whimsical art of painting and drawing with your whole arm and body!

People Project - Students will learn all about hands on graphic design!  Students will look at SBAP's Collaborative Mural done with "Visiting Artist" Peat Wolleager.  Students will draw, cut, and create their own design
inspired from this mural.






Antique Photos&
and Architectural Objects

  Thursday May 10th
Turn a beautiful old photo and architectural object into a cherished work of art!  During this class students will have lots of freedom
to work independently! Mediums explored will be collage, paper making, decoupage, and drawing.
